Death Dealer

many have fallen prey

hunted by lust

told that it’s biology

when in truth it’s a succubus

others have fallen victim

to the lure of validation

told that it’s equality

when in truth it’s degradation

creators and consumers

ensnared in a trap

believing that it’s harmless

hoping it fills the gap

blind to consequence

or perhaps just won’t admit

because we’re hooked upon

the dopamine hits

brains and bodies deplete

riddled with addiction

deluded by fantasy

living in fiction

the unaware and innocent

vulnerable to the call

that is yet another trick

inviting us to fall

it is everywhere

uncensored and unabated

free for the taking

secretly seeding hatred

we blame one another

“perverts” vs “sluts”

ignoring the real culprit

the darkness that collects

wonder why we feel lost

unfulfilled, empty, hollow

while we give away our essence

sacred turned to sorrow

those who sense beyond

know the trap for what it is

the harnessing of life force

to keep us in the abyss

time is beginning

to show the catastrophic price

that we’ve all been paying

for falling to this vice

the leech latches on

syphoning our depth

wears the veil of progression

while dealing out death

death to intimacy

relationships and affection

death to devotion

honour and connection
