the drums beat
and the clocks tick
the leaders languish
and their control slips
so the wars wage
and the babies burn
but the people can see you now
now it’s your turn
the end creeps closer
for your control and oppression
the lies and the greed
the corruption and obsession
you poison and kill
and think it’s alright
but soon you will see
that might is not right
the time is here
our hearts are waking
and the people will stand
and demand you stop taking
your time is over
your reign is dead
the darkness is done
and the light will spread
